“Every Christmas music playlist should have some instruments and styles you don’t hear the rest of the year. This is one of the best odd albums I’ve heard in years, and I’m sure you don’t have enough hurdy-gurdy in your collection.”

MOAT JUMPER RELEASES DEBUT CD IN TIME TO CELEBRATE THE HOLIDAY SEASON
Moat Jumper has released its debut CD. Christmas at the Renaissance Fair, which blends Renaissance, Medieval, Traditional Celtic and Middle Eastern music styles. The album brings together the energy and joy of music played at Renaissance and Medieval festivals, with unique interpretations of holiday classics including Jingle Bells, O Come O Come Emmanuel and Joy to the World.
The album was produced by composer/multi-instrumentalist Joe Matzzie, who drew upon his years of experience playing at the New York Renaissance Faire with the group Mince Pye. Christmas at the Renaissance Fair features acoustic instruments as exotic and diverse as the hurdy gurdy, hammered dulcimer, bladder pipe, violin, trombone, guitar and a vast assortment of hand percussion from around the world.
Christmas at the Renaissance Fair contains 14 tracks and will be available October 18, 2010 in both CD and digital download formats.
